April Red Apple Award

Each month, staff members from different areas of FPDS are honored with the “Red Apple Award”. The Red Apple is awarded to staff members that go above and beyond their call of duty!

The April Red Apple Award Winners are Victoria Earnhart (2nd Grade), “Mrs. Dot” Doria Bell (Early Childhood), Jamie Dowd (Idea Lab), and Carrie Stafford (K4 and Fabulous Friends).

Our school is special because of these incredible teachers. Thank you each for your contributions and passion for First Presbyterian Day School.

Ms. Dot has been such a gift to our Early Childhood program. Her love for Jesus shines through every day in the classroom.  She is punctual, compassionate, humble, and caring, and her students are excited to walk into her classroom everyday.

Ms. Dot also has such a gift for capturing special moments, and she does such a great job of sharing those moments with the parents through the Brightwheel app.  I'm so thankful the Lord has blessed FPDS with Ms. Dot.

Carrie Stafford is such a wonderful and loving teacher. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to help others in any way she can. She is an encouraging friend, spreading the love of Christ at all times.

Carrie is fun-loving and willing to participate in all kinds of crazy and fun antics to amuse the kids. She is also a great asset to our Fabulous Friends program. We are so thankful to have Carrie at FPDS.

 -Kim Duhs / Kindergarten Principal

Jamie's passion for teaching technology not only equips our students with essential skills but also inspires a love for learning in the digital age. She consistently goes above and beyond to create engaging and innovative lessons that capture the imagination of young minds. Jamie ensures that students of all abilities feel comfortable exploring and experimenting with technology.

Her enthusiasm for the subject matter is contagious, creating an atmosphere where students feel encouraged to embrace and excel in the world of technology. I am so thankful for Jamie and her dedication to FPDS.

-Gigi O’Neal / Assistant Head of School

Victoria Earnhart is the embodiment of I Corinthians 13: “love is patient and kind…it does not insist on its own way.” Patience is an important quality for all educators, but particularly for 2nd grade teachers.

Victoria is organized, communicates well with both her students and her families, and is ultra-organized. More importantly, she strives for excellence each day and loves her students. FPDS is blessed to have Victoria investing in our young people.
