CHAPEL CHAT:

This week in Chapel, we continued our study of the parables by focusing on Mark 4:26–29, The Parable of the Seed Growing Secretly. We encourage families to read this passage together at home.

We talked about how seeds grow quietly and often unseen—and how God’s Word grows in our hearts the same way. Even when we can’t see it, God is always at work. We discussed what this teaches us about trusting Him, being patient, and faithfully doing our part.

We closed by praying for patience and perseverance, trusting that God is growing His Word in us and in the lives of others..

BLUE HEARTS DAY:

Monday, February 9th is Blue Hearts Day!! Join the FPDS Girl Scouts as we honor and remember Lee Thorne's beautiful life. If you bring $3 or more you will get to wear a blue t-shirt, hearts, or an FPDS spirit shirt.

AN AFTERNOON AT THE MUSEUM:

Join the FPDS family this Saturday, February 7th from 3-5 PM at the Mississippi Children's Museum for an afternoon of fun, fellowship, and discovery! Bring a friend who may be interested in joining our FPDS family too. When you arrive, stop by the front desk, let them know you're with FPDS to grab your wristband, then head to the first room on the left for snacks, explorer accessories, dress-up and lots of fun. We can't wait to explore together!

GRANDPARENTS DAY REMINDERS:

All students in every grade are required to wear Student Chapel Attire for Grandparents Day. Please review the uniform guidelines linked here for details and any related questions.
