Your Artwork Could Be on the Cover - FPDS Yearbook Cover Contest

We are excited to announce that this year’s yearbook theme is “Rooted in Faith, Growing in Greatness.” This theme reflects our mission of planting seeds of Christlikeness in the hearts of our students as they grow academically, spiritually, and personally.  The winning student's artwork will be featured on the front cover of this year's yearbook!  We can't wait to see your creativity shine.

  • Who Can Submit:  All 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students are invited to submit artwork.

  • Submission Deadline:  Artwork should be submitted to our yearbook sponsor, Jana Heimer, by November 7th.

  • Yearbook Cover Contest Guidelines:

    • Artwork must fill an entire 8½ x 11-inch page.

    • Outline drawings must be in black.

    • Artwork must include:

      • The yearbook theme: “Rooted in Faith, Growing in Greatness”

      • 2025–2026

      • First Presbyterian Day School

Special Treat!
The 1st and 2nd place winners will enjoy a fun lunch with our Head of School and Principal Dryden, featuring a Brent’s Drugs milkshake and patty melt — a sweet (and savory!) way to celebrate your creativity!

Chapel Chat

All of our age groups enjoyed special guest speakers during chapel this week! Each group heard unique messages on a variety of meaningful topics. Be sure to ask your child about their special visitors and the wisdom they shared during this special time of worship and fellowship.

Holiday Potpourri

Holiday Potpourri Tickets: Students in K3–6th grade brought home ticket packets earlier this week. Your child will receive 10 tickets that are $10 each. If your Early Childhood student wants to join in on the fun, tickets are available in the office for you to pick up and sell. Every ticket sold brings us closer to our goal in supporting the school through projects and upgrades.

As a reminder, the draft for the ticket sales will be posted from each child’s FACTS account on Friday, November 14th. To opt out of this method, notify Ann Raggio (araggio@fpds.org) no later than November 3rd at 8:00 am. Children of Parent Patrons (giving $250+) are exempt from selling tickets and the FACTS draft. Only the oldest sibling of Parent Patron families will receive a ticket packet, so not all students will receive one.

New this year are Holiday Potpourri digital tickets! You can purchase those using the link here (https://one.bidpal.net/holidaypotpourri2025). This is a great way to sell tickets to your friends and family that live out of town and want to support FPDS! In order for your student to get credit, please ensure their name is added to the notes section!

Looking to get involved with Holiday Potpourri?  From helping students with Holiday Potpourri artwork to volunteering at the event on November 15! We cannot pull this off without everyone chipping in. Please review the link below and sign up to help us! Link:  Sign Up HERE!
