Become a Holiday Potpourri Patron
As the school has continued to grow and thrive over the last 60 years, our annual fundraiser, Holiday Potpourri, has provided critical support in enhancing our children's education for 52 years. This event and season of giving generates more than $275,000 annually for educational and extracurricular improvements to our school.
Your partnership through HP 2026 will support the core educational and ministry-priorities of the school as well as making possible key projects that will enhance the
FPDS-experience for every student. This year’s key priority is our Future Leaders Initiative, including Learn to Lead and Innovation Lab.
Through the FPDS Future Leaders Initiative, students are equipped to become Christ-centered leaders ready to thrive in a rapidly changing world while remaining grounded in Biblical truth. By combining Biblical character formation with real-world skill development through programs like Learn to Lead and Innovation Lab, students grow in communication, collaboration, creativity, leadership, problem-solving, and responsible technology use. Hands-on experiences such as coding and robotics, entrepreneurship challenges, invention design, service learning, public speaking, multimedia projects, and collaborative learning help students discover and develop their God-given strengths.
About Learn to Lead
Learn to Lead is a leadership development program designed specifically for 5th and 6th grade students at FPDS. Through hands-on activities, engaging guest speakers, and meaningful service opportunities, students will grow in leadership, deepen personal awareness, and gain a better understanding of how God has uniquely gifted each of them.
In 5th grade, students will focus on building a strong foundation of leadership. They explore the qualities of a Godly leader, practice teamwork and collaboration, and develop essential skills in problem-solving and decision-making. In 6th grade, students will build on that foundation as they grow in self-awareness, who LEARN to LEAD they are in Christ, identify their personal strengths and areas for growth, learn how to work effectively within a team, and practice setting and achieving meaningful goals.
About Innovation Lab
Innovation Lab is a hands-on, tech-forward class that teaches essential problem-solving and STEM skills through engaging activities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Students explore computer fundamentals, digital citizenship, online safety,
coding, robotics, 3D printing, and more, while also learning to use programs like Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. Innovation Lab proudly hosts our school’s annual STEM Fair and leads exciting project-based learning units like Shark Tank, Market Day, and Let’s Build A City!
Your support will help provide • Innovation and technology resources for elementary learning • Robotics, coding, and creative problem-solving opportunities • Entrepreneurship and project-based learning experiences • Leadership and service-learning initiatives
• Communication and digital literacy tools • Classroom resources connecting Biblical values to real-world application.
At FPDS, we are not simply teaching students. We are developing thoughtful, confident leaders who can discern truth, lead with conviction, and impact the world for Christ. Most importantly, your gift is your opportunity to partner with FPDS in our kingdom-work of making disciples of Jesus Christ and growing our children from acorns of faith into “oaks of righteousness.” (Isaiah 61:3).
Together, we are preparing students to lead faithfully today and thrive tomorrow!
