Week of October 20th
Hi FPDS Family,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for a wonderful first nine weeks of school and for the warm welcome I have received as I have begun my new role as Head of School at FPDS. It has been such a joy meeting and talking with so many of you. This season has been a blessing to both me and my family.
The start of the school year has been fast and full of energy. Our students have already shown incredible school spirit through participating in our sports teams, celebrating our amazing moms during Muffins with Mom, enjoying the creativity of our annual Walk Like an Egyptian day for 6th graders, and growing in faith through learning about the parables of Jesus. I have loved connecting with your children during daily devotions and seeing their curiosity, kindness, and excitement to learn. It has been inspiring to see our students not only learning academically, but also growing in Christlike character.
Pursuing academic excellence is one of the pillars of our mission, and this is a high task and calling. The Day School is a safe place to learn, grow, and be challenged. Learning is not always easy and at times can be difficult. However, once a student has learned something this can lead to feelings of satisfaction and achievement. Your partnership is invaluable as we work together to cultivate a nurturing faith centered environment where your children can grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Thank you for entrusting us with their growth and for joining us in this meaningful mission.
Please mark your calendars for upcoming events like Grandparents Day on February 13th and keep an eye out for ways to stay engaged in our school community. Thank you for partnering with us to provide a nurturing, faith-centered environment where your child can thrive.
